Sounds crazy, right? If you’ve never followed me on YouTube before, I could understand why you would think that. It’s exactly what I thought until one day my uncle dumped a couple hundred of his used books on me and I decided what the heck, let’s see if I can make a few bucks off of these.

To my surprise, I ended up turning those USED, (sometimes even dirty, out of shape, highlighted/underlined) books into over $1500. It was a total eye opener for me and it’s the first time I realized there was a real NEED for used books on Amazon.

However, I wasn’t completely sold yet because the idea of storing hundreds or even thousands of books in my home sounded NOT fun..

That’s when I discovered the Fulfillment by Amazon program (FBA), where you send your items to Amazon and they put the items up for sale and pick, pack and ship all of your orders for you. They charge a reasonable fee and you get paid every 2 weeks into your bank account on the dot. AND because it’s Amazon doing all of the fulfillment, they even offer ‘Prime’ 2 day shipping on all of your items; a huge advantage you get over your competitors.

That was something UNREAL to me; a complete game changer at the time. I had sold items on eBay in the past and one of the worst parts of selling online was definitely all of the prepping and packaging orders. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) completely eliminated that headache.

So I started on my journey selling more and more used books on Amazon, this time using FBA and by my third month I had sold almost $15,000 worth of USED books in just 30 days. It ended up being a net profit of almost $9000 after the cost of the books (you can get used books EXTREMELY cheap, as little as $1 to $2 or even less.)

Now, of course there was a LOT to learn but as time went on, through tons of trial and error and sheer effort I was able to create a sustainable 6 figure income and decided to quit my job.

Throughout all this, unlike many of the so called ‘gurus’ out there, I actually recorded many of these experiences and documented my entire journey on YouTube!
