Fast Track Clear Aligners

Are you curious about clear aligner therapy, but are unsure whether they work? Are you a general dental professional interested in orthodontics, but don’t know where to start?

This course will cover diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as how to get ed using clear aligner labs. It also covers the differences in technology and step-by-step procedures from taking patient records to delivering aligners, and monitoring patients until they are complete. This course covers the basics of getting you ed using clear aligner treatment. We use both traditional and digital methods to record, and step-by-step laboratory workflows. Insurance/billing is also covered. Clear aligner training is eligible to earn up to 12 continuing education credits.

This course teaches learning skills and educational content. It is 50% projected slides and 50% video-based education. Simulated learning is what we emphasize. “LIVE” Video-based methods to show step-by-step procedures, including digital scanning, impressions, bonding attachments (IPR), monitoring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and refinement for case finishing.

This course has five sections that allow you to get the best education.

Section I: Introduction Clear Aligner Therapy: Principles of Tooth Movement. How to Identify Aligner Cases.

This course will cover the basics of clear alignment treatment. It will include identifying cases in your office, treatment planning and diagnosis, as well as reviewing available brands.

Melissa D Shotell, DMD, MS

Dr. Melissa Shotell, a Board Certified Orthodontist, practices in Sonora (CA) in a multi-specialty office that focuses on the interplay between Orthodontics and restorative treatments. Dr. Shotell obtained her DMD degree from Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, she received advanced hospital training as well as a General Practice Certificate from The Ohio State University. After spending years in general practice treating a broad range of patients, Dr. Shotell returned to complete a certificate and master’s degree in Orthodontics from Loma Linda University. Dr. Shotell studied at Loma Linda University and focused her training on the use of cutting-edge 3D imaging technology to diagnose and plan treatment for interdisciplinary dentistry. Dr. Shotell regards education as her passion. She lectures regularly on topics such as clear aligner treatment, orthodontics, office efficiency, workflow, teamwork, and dental technology.
